Northallerton Bowling Club Home

Welcome to Northallerton Bowling Club.

The Club was founded in 1900 and has occupied the present site since 1910.  We have a beautiful bowling green surrounded by trees and gardens and comfortable sitting and viewing areas for spectators.

The green opens for bowling in April of each year and closes in September.

During the winter months we play carpet bowls and snooker. In addition, we have a varied and busy social calendar with Open Mic evenings and other events throughout the year.

Presidents Message 2025

It is with great pride that I take over the reins of President of Northallerton Bowling Club in what is to be our 125th year.

Founded in 1900, originally sited at Willowbeck before moving to its current site in 1910, with its present building opened in 1988. A bowling club rich in history, it has been fantastic in my time here to see year on year success across the various leagues and competitions that we enter both on the outside green and on the indoor mats.

It is also heart-warming to see our increased membership, with so many members enjoying our facilities throughout the year with, in addition to bowls, the snooker and of course our various social events.

In this 125th year we aim to progress further emulating recent successes and to continue to improve on them. I look forward to this special year and encourage you all to enjoy and take an active part in the Club’s activities, both on and off the green.

I also ask that you give your full support to the Club Captains, the Committee and the team of hard-working volunteers who all give so much of their time behind the scenes to make this club so successful.

Finally, I wish you all a happy, successful and most importantly enjoyable 2025 season here at Northallerton Bowls Club
